Vibram FiveFingers® footwear is a unique take on footwear compared to the conventional running shoe. Designed to emulate barefoot physiology, having a pair of V-fingers lets you truly experience the small intricacies of walking and running as if you were barefoot.  After wearing them advocately for about a year, through hot, cold, and even rainy days I can say with all honesty that they are my favorite shoe for both walking and running.  Since wearing my V-fingers I’ve noticed that I’ve significantly engaged and strengthened my feet muscles, I’ve stopped heel striking as I run, and I feel much more balanced in them compared to the conventional running shoe. I should also mention that after freeing my toes, going back to running shoes feels like a toe prison.</p>
<p>My experience using Vibram Fingers have lead to three conclusions;</p>
<p>1. Less is better in terms of shoe cushion</p>
<p>2. After running in my V-fingers it was instinctive to change from a heel strike to a forefoot running style.</p>
<p>3. I&#8217;ve engaged and activated my foot muscles significantly more.</p>
